I took this photo myself when I went to the Made in Germany concert in May (the Vancouver one). I’ve always loved Till’s costumes and props. The flaming angel wings are probably my favourite, next to the flamethrowers for, well, pretty much everything else.

Rammstein 30 Day Challenge - Day 11: Favourite live moment

The first time I heard a Rammstein song, it was Feuer Frei! I decided that I really liked this band’s music and decided to check out some music videos on youtube. Lo and behold, watching videos of Rammstein using pyrotechnics and flamethrowers in their concerts was very intriguing to me, and I hoped that one day I would get to see them live doing just that.

Last month I went to the Rammstein concert here in Vancouver, BC, and I was thoroughly pleased. Best concert I’ve ever been to.

Oh yeah, my favourite live moment: FLAMETHROWERS. DURING FEUER FREI!

Sorry for the meh quality, it’s kind of difficult to take photos when there’s a lot of people around you and when the light keeps flashing from different directions.

Rammstein 30 Day Challenge - Day 9: Favourite song performed live

“Feuer Frei!”

This song, when performed live, is so insanely full with flamethrowers and pillars of flame that you can just feel the heat emanating from the stage. I remember when I went to the Rammstein concert in Vancouver last month, I was really looking forward to the pyrotechnics and the dominating stage presence that Rammstein seems to have in videos that I’ve seen on youtube. I was not disappointed.

30 Day Rammstein Challenge - Day 8: Favourite Member

Richard Z. Kruspe

Richard is a fucking badass. He’s incredibly well-spoken (in both English and German), is intelligent, has good taste, knows his shit, and is talented on guitar AND when singing vocals. I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff he can do that we don’t know about, but geez. This guy even has his own side-band, Emigrate, in addition to being a member of Rammstein.
